Our server, Tessa, greeted us and took our drink orders. I asked for a cherry coke, which she kindly offered to make for me. The drink was delicious. My partner, who dislikes onions but loves French onion soup, asked if it could be made without onions. The kitchen staff did an amazing job, and the soup turned out perfectly.
I chose the Shrimp and Corn soup, which had a great blend of flavors with a spicy finish. We also ordered slices of pie, and I added ham and pineapple, which was a fantastic choice. My partner had local PA mushrooms on his pie and enjoyed it as well.

Once again I order pick up and our order is wrong. If asked for light sauce on both pies and they not only don't have light sauce but it looks like the added extra sauce. You would think that I would learn as this is the third time in a row. It's a pain to scrape off the sauce and most of the cheese and toppings come off as well. The pizza is definitely the most expensive pizza in the area and they could care less if they give you the best product why do I keep buying.
Excellent. The French onion soup could have had a bit more sodium, but otherwise great. UPDATE 04/29/22:. Went there last night and had a personal pizza with pepperoni and anchovies. While I could have handled more anchovies, it was decent. We also got a basket of fries and some bruschetta that the table split and they were also decent.
My family and myself come here all the time and recently we started getting a new waitress Liz. Let me say, she has made our recent visits outstanding! She is extremely charismatic, funny, accommodating, and all around the most welcoming person we've ever had serve us! Please let her know to keep up the great work

Great pizza and restaurant. Service was great and food came quickly. Located right on Dupont Hwy in Dover, near Dover Downs. Unique taste and style of pizza. Atmosphere is good and zero to little wait before being seated. Free popcorn in foyer while you wait to be seated.
We like Grotto. The plain pizza was pleasantly tasty and fresh. Good distribution of ingredients. The cheesesteak pizza was blah. Tasteless and greasy. Almost no steak on the pizza. The antipasto salad was pretty good. Caesar salads were good
I was there with a big group. eating was plentiful, but we ran out quickly and it was difficult to fill them again. I am not a fan of grottos pizza, but the salat and the sandwiches were good.
It's whatever, I would never be here if not for sports. If you are looking for a local collection of Delaware's most unfortunate looking women however, then this is your spot.

The wing special has been discontinued, the salad is consistently disappointing, but the pizza is delicious. However, prices are extremely inflated.
Good pizza and great service. Highly recommend. Reminds me of the old pizza places when I was a kid
