Gyro Guys in Newport, OR was a great stop for lunch. We had the lamb and chicken gyros and everyone thought they were outstanding. Nice size, well flavored meat, a nice mix of vegetables and the right amount of sauce made this the perfect alternative to a hamburger. The place offers dine in or take out, and they were busy with both options. We dined in, the place was clean and the gentleman server was helpful, friendly, and took good care of us. We will definitely return the next time we are in Newport.
OMG! Was in for lunch yesterday and had the lamb shank. I'm pretty sure I could hear harps and angels singing as I bit into this falling- apart tender lamb! I asked for the hummus and pita first, and it arrived promptly. Greek salad, rice pilaf and lamb were enough for 2 meals so I boxed up half and had it for dinner later that night. Absolutely no fat or grease to be found on the meat (something I've never achieved with lamb) I will return as I work my way through the entire menu!
this was really one of the most incredible meal times I've ever had the pleasure of consumption. I couldn't be happy anymore. my expectations have been exceeded! I loved it! I'm not gonna get it until the day I leave. I will also leave this earth, while I enjoy the last bite of eating that I had here. the service was also immaculate! 5 stars? try 10 million stars! many thanks! if it wasn't obvious, they should go here and enjoy the amazing experience they create
We came from out of town at the beginning of the dinner rush. The server was also the host and he managed to juggle eight tables of guests without missing a beat. The lamb gyro was excellent and our two very picky kids loved the fries and the pita bread. I highly recommend the food and the ambience as well. We don’t live in Newport but the next time we visit we will definitely eat at Gyro Guys again.
