This was the worst karaoke experience I've ever had. There was only one microphone and no rotation system in place. Performers were called to the stage based on their position on the sign-up list, which resulted in the same five people performing four or five times while our group never got a turn. I've done karaoke all over the country, and I've never encountered such a long wait. It might have been enjoyable for one table of friends, but it definitely wasn't fun for the rest of us.
I really enjoy The Hanger. It typically attracts a lively crowd and features fantastic performances. The bartenders are friendly, and I absolutely love their patio. This is definitely a must-visit spot when you're in town. If you haven't been since they opened the new building, be prepared for a different experience; Carbondale has changed quite a bit in the last 15-25 years, and The Hanger is no exception. Putting nostalgia aside, it's a wonderful place to hang out.
Great place to dance the night away. The new amped-up sound system at the entrance yesterday evening. PA is clearer and Subs have more punch. The best listening post is still on the terrace, stage left.

The restaurant offers entertaining karaoke nights and live music. They serve affordable soft drinks for non-drinkers and typically provide free water as well.
Neat Bar, with friendly service and pretty cool events. The drinks are quite cheap and I have enjoyed my experience both day drinking and at events here.
Previously hanging on the old hanger in the first 90s and really loving the new hanger. Clean and open. Great stage for music
