Back in Boston, my wife and I would explore around BU. Hanmaru is definitely the place that serves the best Gamja-Tang, or Pork Bone Soup, out there in Boston, period. The Pork Bone is humongous and meaty. Although it could be really painful trying to get to the meat, the explosion later in your mouth would leave you stunned. You can practically taste all the spice and all the ingredients in the meat, since all the essence are within the soup, and the meat would soak them all up. The potato, yum, it's the cherry on top. UPDATED: I found the cockroach from leftovers I brought home. The bowl is mine. That is why the restaurant's waitresses did not know about it. I found the cockroach in the gamja tang AFTER I started eating the leftovers. Trust me, this is not a fake photo. I am too busy to post a fake review. This place should have five stars!! Super authentic Korean food that is known for their Gamjatang (Korean style pork back bone soup). Been here a few times w/ friends and we've loved it every time. Service is fast and friendly. The broth is so rich and so flavorful. The portions are huge as well. The most recent time the three of us came in and got the gamjatang for three with an extra bone and it was $50 total, all of us left very full. I don't know how their other dishes are, but if you come get the gamjatang!
One of the few places where you can get a legit pork bone soup (Gamjatang). Got their pork bone soup set A, kimchi pancake, and cold noodles (mulnaengmyun) via UberEats. The portion of the soup was massive, and we ended up boiling it again in a large pot. Despite the delay, the pork meat was soft and it easily fell of the bones. Their summer special cold noodles was also great and I liked how they used thicker cuts of brisket.

Amazing pork bone hot pot! The pork meat is soft and full of flavor and the set 2 is definitely more than enough for 2 people. The serving is quite large and filling. Perfect for the winter or just any time you are craving Korean hot pot. The squid skewers are also a popular item on their menu and I really liked it.
Really tasty, I love Hanmaru.A little story: My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship and we only see each other maybe once every two or three months. Whenever I come out of logan airport he drives me to Allston for Hanmaru, a warm, homely taste.
Rich, garlicky pork bone soup. The biggest pot came with 5 huge pork bones and is enough for 3 people. The price is unbeatable and service is quick. The seafood pancake was thin and crisp. Next time I would order more vegetables and sides to the hotpot.
Super yummy glass noodles and the waitress was really nice. She was super patient when me and my boyfriend asked a bunch of questions about the menu. Food was DELICIOUS and spicy :

Best Gamja tang i have ever had！Lots of pork, tofu, potato, and vegetables in one pot. Enough for 3-4 people.
