The quality has changed significantly in 8+ years I’ve been going here. My favorite item was always the chicken Ceasar wrap with no croutons. I haven’t been in a while and decided to stop by and grab one. I went to work open my wrap and it has NO ROMAINE LETTUCE IN IT. They used mesclun mix. It’s a CEASAR WRAP. That’s literally what it should have. So I called to see if the person making it made a mistake and the girl that answered said well “that’s just the wrap that’s how it’s made” I explained what makes something a chicken Caesar. Five stars for this gem of a restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and a menu brimming with healthy delights. I came in today and I wanted to purchase the passionfruit lemonade. It was actually on the stand spinning and I asked that I wanted one and she told me that they’re not able to sell it because it’s not in the system. Why do you guys have something in front of the customers and it’s a hot day and they have the lemonade sign promoting the drink, but they can’t charge us. They can’t bring us up. That is so weird. Why?

HLS Is A Black Owned Restaurant Located In Maplewood NJ!! They Have An Amazing Selection Of Good Authentic Healthy Soul Food!! The Strawberry Banana Smoothie Was Really Flavorful And Smooth!! This Was My First Time Trying A Chicken Cheesesteak Wrap And It Did Not Disappoint!! The Staff Is Super Friendly And Really Welcoming!!!
I just went to this location for the first time and it was amazing! I am a super picky eater and when ordering I can be difficult but the staff couldn’t have been more understanding and helpful when taking my order. And then the finished product was absolutely delicious!I will be returning frequently.
