Thank you to everyone at the George who worked together to help make our wedding the most perfect day! Staff has always been very helpful and friendly (although in the prep and lead up, rather slow with responses and a bit disorganised, especially when booking being told you were dog friendly which then turned into only one room allowing dogs) However on the weekend it's self they went above and beyond, especially the receptionist and the bar tender Elliot who we would like to say a special thank you too. The rooms and all areas were well maintained and clean. The food was superb and all our guests said what a gorgeous venue it was and how well the day ran. Thank you Nicole. Thank you again...
we had such a great time in the george hotel for a high time. the staff was so helpful and friendly. they are extremely hard to work. the bedroom was very large and well equipped, although we only went for a classic l and the hotel has many comfortable lounge areas as well as the amazing outside beside the sea. we felt very relaxed all the time. we had dinner in the hotel and that was also a great experience. beautiful mönch.
we had a great stay and the staff was brilliant. only critique was our room that was in loft and somewhat underwhelmed for the price. also the hotel was empty, which means we have offered a better room or a discounted upgrade. also the online menu was not the same as when we are there. I appreciate that because the hotel was closed for the next season, but the website should have been updated accordingly.
we loved our stay in the george about christmas, it was so good that we think to book for next christmas! our only comment would be that, although eating was absolutely amazing, we personally preferred more of the main dishes accompanied by fresh vegetables and one of the desserts based on fresh fruit. this is a small opportunity in comparison to everything that could not be better.
We had the most wonderful stay at The George. We were kindly given an upgrade to a fabulous room with a terrace overlooking the sea and enjoyed every minute. The service was excellent and the food at dinner was utterly delicious. We left feeling so relaxed after just 24 hours, that it was as if we had been away for a whole week! It was a treat from start to finish.
We absolutely loved our stay at the George. The room was very comfortable, warm, and cozy. We enjoyed all our meals in the restaurant. Everyone from Reception right through to the restaurant was super friendly and caring making the stay all the more pleasant. We would most definitely stay there again.
had a nice stay! the personal was extraordinary. breakfast was delicious and good quality! hotel could do with a small dc, but not stop my stay in any wise! loves the rest of this old hotel. they will stay back in any case!
