Taken to this restaurant by a friend. There were 9 of us and we had 7 different dishes. The live groupa was served in 2 dishes, slices of meat lightly stirred fried and the bones fried and stewed in claypot. Both were delicious but I have eaten better. At Aud 68 for both, they were reasonably priced. The Hunan pork belly was slightly spiced with subtle flavours. A good dish to wash down with a beer or Islay whiskies. The salted duck egg fried chicken was tasty with succulent flesh, again a good match with whiskies or young Riesling or Chardonnay. Although we have been regulars for some time my wife and I will never go back after a recent humiliating experience. We were seated, having drinks and had already ordered our first course when the manager came up to our waiter and barked orders in Chinese. Because we had a table for 4, my wife and I were ordered to move upstairs to make way for a larger group. All carried out with a lack of courtesy and no apologies. Complete absence of customer service and arrogance in dealing with customers.
I felt like a quick meal at home and had had Peking duck at the restaurant on a previous occasion, which, admittedly, was why I went back to get some more for my home meal. I also had a hankering for sweet and sour pork which I haven't had for eons - like 40 years. The Peking duck on initial inspection lived up to my expectations but was extremely angry to find that 3 of the pancakes were raw! To top it off the pork in the sweet and sore was tough. I won't go back.
A very disappointing dinner night started well with restaurant filling with people and our anticipation of a great meal had Peking duck which was average . Then from here food quality went quickly downhill the barbecue pork dish was very dry the beef dish was full of MSG the squid dish was ok .We found the price on the expensive side and they also wanted a credit card charge there are many restaurants which will give you a better experience

We took visiting friends from Queensland to dinner recently.Service was quick and friendly.We ordered too many dishes and had great trouble finishing them. An experienced waiter would have told us to reduce the number of dishes. All in all, the food was tasty and authentic. Fresh steamed fish was flavoursome. Bitter melon and beef were just right. Roast duck was crispy and tasty.
If you are looking for great Chinese food to eat when you are around this area, go for this restaurant as the Chinese food is authentic and nice. I had their pork ribs n bitter melon Hor fun. My partner had the signature fish head bee Hoon. We shared a pot of Hot chrysanthemum tea. Their Fried bee Hoon with duck is also yummy here. Try the food if you are nearby.
Just finished dinner, the food was lovely and the service spot on. We chose to eat banquet style, ordered 4 mains and rice between the 5 of us. The highlight was after finishing our meal, they provided a plate of fresh fruit complimentary. If in Kew or near by suburbs, this place is a must to visit.
