From when we arrived until we left the service could not have been any better she was very knowledgeable about different wines and beers and the menu she was really great with our six year old grandson she even had a coloring book crayons and a treasure reading book so he would not get bored the owner of the restaurant also took time out to come over and speak with us he is very friendly the restaurant is very well put together with décor and food to match they never make you feel like you have to hurry and eat your meal so the next customer can come in and be served
We have been going to Jamieson's Irish House & Grill since they opened in 2007 (I think). Personally, we have always had a great experience. We also own Moonlight Beach Suites located on nearby Lawrencetown Beach and we have referred literally well over a thousand of our Guests there over the years. They always have had positive things to say about it and it feels good to have a local restaurant nearby where we are confident to send our Guests. Thanks to Chris & his great staff!!
Inside is pub-like with lots of dark wood. It does not feel like a strip mall kind of place. Our young person ordered the Killarney Loaded Potato Skins & said they were the best things she ever put in her mouth. I had the Guineas Beef Stew. It contained a generous amount of beef & was very tasty. The side bread was dry & tasteless. That would have been better left in the kitchen. Another in our party enjoyed the Fish Tacos.
After a 9 hour drive home we unpacked and showered and headed over to Jamiesons Irish pub for what I was hoping for a delicious burger. Not so much. Lack of cheese. Tasteless dry meat. Bun with absolutely no flavor and not so great fries. My husband chose the wings. I swear they killed pigeons they were so small. Haven't been there in years and it looks like it won't be anytime soon till I return
Have eaten at Jamieson's several times in recent years, alone, with my daughter and with large birthday party groups. Food is always excellent. The restaurant is not large but is warmly furnished and staff is very friendly. You will usually see the owner, Chris, there and he may be over to your table to ask you how you are enjoying your meal.
This place doesn't look like much from the outside, being in a strip mall. But inside it's nice and cosy with an authentic pub feel. Service is great and the owner is often on hand to make sure everything is perfect. I usually have the muscles or the stew. Both are great. And there's an awesome selection of local micro brews!
after our surf lesson, the instructor told us to check out Jamieson's for dinner. so glad we listened to them, it was amazing! we relaxed in the cozy chairs in the corner and enjoyed a feed of amazing fish cakes. good beer selection too!
Enjoyed an excellent meal, great service by a waitress named Chrissy, we were waited on very quickly and seemed like very short time later. We received our meal.
Great family local pub with a good menu and lots of local beers on tap. Great ambiance and service. Highly recommended.
