I’m really disappointed to say this, but the overall value and service at Joey's have significantly declined. I used to go there every Friday around noon, and it was consistently great for many years. However, I've recently encountered issues with my orders. Just the other day, I ordered my usual #10, which cost $17 before tip, but it was missing several ingredients. I’ve come to realize that you absolutely must check your sandwiches before leaving the restaurant because there’s a 90% chance they made a mistake. They have developed a bad habit of omitting extra ingredients when you request changes. For instance, I didn’t ask for tomatoes, so they weren’t included, but I also never requested...
We ordered takeout to enjoy on the beach, but were sadly disappointed. I ordered a sandwich and paid extra for extra meat and received a sandwich that had very little meat on it, certainly not twice and none of the other spices were on it. Actually, only meat and cheese. Very dry. I will say that the meat was of good quality, just an annoying part. You should not be hungry after eating a $15 sandwich! I will also point out that I informed the setup about Facebook and waited almost two weeks without answer before I posted this review. I tried to be diplomatic about it!
I?ve eaten here a few time and it?s been pretty decent. Like no major complaints. I ordered fries this time. The item is literally called ?crispy waffle fries?. Some of them weren?t cooked. They had none of the promised seasoning (salt, parm) and were not even remotely crispy. As I said hardly even cooked. Kinda lame
Incredible food and wonderful staff! The pork and cheese reminded me of my favorite dishes back in New Jersey. I’ve heard everyone rave about this place, and now I understand why. Incredible food with great staff. The pork roll egg and cheese were just like my homework in NJ. Definitely recommend everyone to try it when they are here. The 2 people there were very kind and 100% having me come here for breakfast for everytime I am inCharleston!!
I have loved this place since we moved here 5 years ago. It pains me to write this but this is the third sandwich I have paid $15 for and it looks like this. No substance and missing 2 of the 4 ingredients.
Phenomenal sandwiches on crusty Italian bread. Loved it! The prosciutto with fresh mozzarella, balsamic and EVOO was amazing! Will definitely be back. Buon appetito!
