As a New Yorker, I have a good sense of what excellent pizza should taste like. After a year without it, I was excited to dig in again. Having lived in the area for only eight months, I'm still getting to know the local pizza options, but I picked this place based on its glowing reviews. I'm so glad I did! Their pizza is incredibly delicious—rich in flavor and cooked perfectly (if that’s how you like it). The wings are also amazing! My only small suggestion would be to make the slices a bit thicker, but it's not a major concern. Overall, I'm really impressed!
Without a doubt, this is one of the best pizzerias in NYC. The slices are amazing, the eggplant Parmesan is exceptional, and the chicken dishes are tasty. I've been coming here for 40 years, and they've never disappointed me—always providing consistent quality! The staff can be somewhat aloof, but the vibe is excellent for the neighborhood. It's fantastic to have my hometown pizza spot!

Wow, this was my first experience trying a pie from John's, and it was amazing! Their Sicilian pizza is outstanding, with soft, fluffy dough topped with a rich sauce and creamy, delicious mozzarella. I grew up eating John's Pizza and although it's changed hands several times, the current owners have done a good job keeping up the legacy. Great NYC thin crust pizza the way it's supposed to taste, crunch, and chew. Great reliable neighborhood joint, I hope to be back!
Clean take out and eat in pizza restaurant. Food is tasty, reasonable prices and courteous owners/ employees. Parking is tough at times is one negative. I usually get the grilled chicken salad or chicken parm. hero.
Not as good as it used to be. Eggplant parm hero not much very thin Eggplant, hardly any cheese. Very pleasant service. Good selection of menu items. Other patron liked the meatball hero.
