Kaju is one of my favorite tofu soup restaurants in the Boston area, and for good reason. The restaurant doesn’t have much space for a waiting area, as most of it is filled with tables and booths for dining. However, the staff are quick and efficient when it comes to fulfilling orders and seating guests. I would suggest that groups of up to six dine in, as larger parties might experience a longer wait for seating. The food quality is impressive as well. The Banchan is delightful, with the kimchi offering a subtly sweet flavor that sets it apart from what you find at HMart. We were promptly seated, although the cozy space can get quite bustling. This restaurant is well-known for its diverse selection of tofu soups, including seafood, beef, and vegetarian options, all of which can be tailored to your preferred spice level. My boyfriend and I sampled the kimchi and beef soup; one of us opted for a combo plate, allowing us to select a tofu soup along with a KBBQ dish. We chose the galbi, and it was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and welcoming, making for a wonderful dining experience!
After a long week, we can always count on the comforting warmth of Kaju’s amazing tofu soup. The service here is consistently polite, friendly, and prompt. The other dishes, like the BBQ and tteokbokki, are equally delicious! Their homemade kimchi truly stands out in both quality and flavor. Additionally, they show a commitment to the community by contributing to charity, and the owner is fantastic. This place is definitely a must-try!
There’s nothing like walking by a place to get the vibe of it. Kaju reeks of truth. A glimpse through the window shows a cart loaded with bubbling stone pots arriving at a table already loaded with banchan and Korean pancakes, busy even before the evening peak. This place is GREAT. Unprepossessing, humble, diversely but strictly Korean, with a very high quality-per-dollar ratio. It’s been voted Best in Boston more than once. Go !

Always a good experience at Kaju (formerly called Kaju Tofu House)! They hvae a wide variety of Korean apps, soups, noodle and rice dishes, and a BBQ choices. Their soups are a must--absolutely wonderful! Limited seating and parking can be tough in the area, but it is worth it for this excellent spot a bit off the beaten path in Allston's Koreantown.
We ordered the Seafood Soup and Pork Belly combo as well as a Kimchi Pancake. The Kimchi Pancake was super delicious, and the soup was extremely comforting with lots of seafood inside. Pork Belly was a bit disappointing, as it was a bit dry and didn’t have too much flavor.
Came on a Saturday night so there unsurprisingly was a wait- the like moved faster than we expected though. I got the soup and bullfight combo and we shared a pajun. Portions were perfect and the food was all tasty and up to standard.
Kaju is THE BEST Korean restaurant I’ve been to in the Boston area! The food is flavorful and fresh, and the service is excellent. They can get busy in the evenings and weekends but it is well worth the wait.

Love the cheese topokki and tofu soup! You wouldn't believe how great beef and tofu soup could be, I am converted! Prices are also slightly cheaper than competitors. Will be returning!
