I ordered 3 Mac Cheese, and I could literally see the bottom of the container. I choose to come here and spend my money and when I get home I see this. It was very, very disappointing and disrespectful, in my opinion. I know for a fact that if someone did this to them, they would not be happy about it. Don't do this to someone ever again, please, at the very least, fill it halfway up.Update: I changed from a 2/5 rating to a 3/5 rating since they told me about the debt card I left behind. Food 10 out of 10! Fufu on point! We started with Fataya(fish empanada)they came out crispy and delicious. They we're so good I ordered more to take home with me. The mustard and onion sauce that came with them will have me going back for sure! We had curry goat and oxtails they were cooked to perfection! The jollof rice was an experience of flavors and heat that had my taste buds in awe! I highly recommend this place for authentic West African cuisine. They also have traditional American food on their menu as well.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian soup options.Kid-friendliness: They have traditional American cheeseburgers and chicken tenders that children love.
I’m fairly new to fufu, went to a food truck for the first time and was almost turned off. Seen such good reviews about this place, had to give it a try. I had it about a week ago, been back 3 times since. The okra soup is soooo good and the actual fufu is the best!!! Customer service great and fast!!! Price is a little more then I’d like but that’s ok because the food and serving is so worth it and I will keep coming back! Customer for life!!!
The oxtail stew is a true comfort food!I enjoyed it along with the rice and beans and a ginger juice. Everything was delicious. I was surprised at how many oxtails were in my order. The rice and beans were perfectly seasoned. There was a hint of spice in both dishes but flavorful. The ginger juice was mild but tasty and refreshing. I will absolutely visit KG’s again because the customer service was great as well.
This has become my go-to location for authentic African(west African particularly) cuisine. Their food is delicious. My faves are the jhollof rice, plantains. Oxtail stew, cabbage and snapper. The owners and staff are extremely kind, professional and accommodating. I highly recommend them. I wish I had some pix. I'll update the review the next time I go.
