This restaurant was recommended by the owner of Coup de Fourchette, also in La Rivière Saint Sauveur, as his was fully booked see review) The setting is very rural although it is only 3km from the centre of Honfleur. Access is via a 200m narrow track arriving at a parking area a few steps from the hotel 10 bedrooms) and restaurant entrance. We were greeted and seated by Estelle in the contemporarily decorated dining area. The other diners, as they arrived, included French and English families. We had a little trouble finding this hotel, but we're glad we did. A track is pulled down and our SATnav did not see it to locate. But we're so glad we finally found it. We were welcomed by our smiling host. Our room was upstairs, very clean and so comfortable! We wanted to eat at the restaurant, but we're not under pressure. After a walk around Honfleur we returned to dinner. It was absolutely wonderful. Large kitchen, nicely cooked and served with a smile. Our host was speaking English and that helped us to understand the complexity of the menu. A supper to remember! A good night's sleep meant we were back in the restaurant for our delicious breakfast. We visit Estelle and Bill at least twice a year and have been for over 10 years and they have never greeted us and fed us wonderfully. Your menu is simple but well cooked and presented. When we take our big children, they treat them as if they are their own. There is no question that we will always be back.
