Went there for dinner as a party of three on a Thursday about 8:30pm. We should have taken a cue from the fact that only three tables in the good sized restaurant were occupied during that popular dinner time, and should have gone somewhere else. Among the three of us we had the Sopitos, Chicken Mexican, and Arroz Camarones, and all three of us found the food salty and lacking on other flavors. Actual prices are quite a bit higher than shown on the menu here and not really appropriate for the quality of the food served. Service was fast and friendly, though. We are not locals but even if we were we would see no reason to return.
This restaurant is always amazing! When my husband and I first started dating, I was a little worried because of the horror stories I had heard about the one in Fairwood. However, this location genuinely cares about its customers and takes great pride in its food. My absolute favorite is the burrito de asada, but truthfully, everything here is delicious, and the staff are consistently friendly. It has become our favorite place for date nights!
I need to try it again… The location of our table was not the best as it was down the hallway to the bathroom. The food was amazing, drink specials for a great happy hour. Our service could have been better however the food was so tasty I will absolutely try it again. We have a couple other Mexican restaurants in the area and this has been the favorite by many people by far. I would definitely give it a try if you’re in the area.
My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. They offer a full Mexican menu at very reasonable prices. It has a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. I visited for the first time and had a fantastic experience! The onions in my dish were slightly undercooked, but the server quickly brought me a new one that was nice and crispy. I would definitely come back. The staff is very friendly and treats customers like family!
The Pollo Al Carbon was delicious, though the sauce was slightly too salty. The steak and shrimp in the Muy Special were succulent, and the Chicken Tamales were enjoyable as well. The sauce that accompanied the tamales was outstanding.
We had the Ribeye Steak with shrimp and mushrooms. The steak was flavorful and juicy while the shrimp was ok. The Pollo Al Carbon was also good because this restaurant does grilled meat well. Service was prompt and friendly.
