Needed a quick lunch when we arrived to visit Chateau de Chillon so went across the road when we saw the signboard for 2 restaurants at the main entrance to the chateau. Decided to go to La Petite Falaise as it seemed more inviting from the outside. The nice waitress there tried her best to explain the menu to us (which was in French) including the set menus. As we actually only wanted a quick bite, we decided to share the set lunch as it sounded interesting. When the stater salad arrived in 2 bowls, we thought she had misunderstood that we wanted to share. When the main dish arrived in 2 plates we guessed that she had ordered 2 separate sets for us. But we really didn't mind as we were feel...
eat by chance.. not on plan, stop by after visited Chatau de Chilloh and turns out... we LOVE IT! Its very perfect little restaurant with amazing taste of food. i tried the steak with cafe de Paris sauce, there sauce is different, a home made, and its perfect. perfect sauce like no other restaurant has it. the fish dish my fiancé had also perfect and nice.the staff and the chef, super friendly. its really high standard with high quality food in small simple and cute place. the price is worth the value. not overpriced. and the desert?! for me they have THE BEST CHOCOLATE SAUCE for ice cream ever! the tickness of the chocolate sauce, the sweets and mix with vanilla ice-cream... perfect
Nous avions réservé pour 8 personnes un dimanche à midi... Petite salle à manger qui aurait besoin d'un petit coup de frais... Tout comme la déco et les sanitaires... Accueil sympathique, avec le sourire et le service était correct. La moitié de la carte est écrite à ma main, des menus, des plats, c'est pas très clair tout ça... Nous avons pris les filets de perches qui étaient excellents, avec en entrée salade de dent de lion excellente aussi !!! Le tout était très bon et nous avons suffisamment mangé. Il manque ici une petite touche de raffinement malgré tout... À 2 pas de château de Chillon, parfait pour la ballade digestive au bord du lac !
Dieser Ort ist einer meiner Favoriten im Westen der Schweiz. Sie haben einen spektakulären Koch!!! Das Rinderfilet mit Parissauce und das Fondue sind meine Favoriten. Jedes Jahr, wenn ich Montreux besuche, esse ich hier zwei oder drei Mal pro Woche.... Es ist ausgezeichnet!!! Es ist nicht billig, aber die Qualität, der Service und die Aussicht machen den Preis wett. Es befindet sich direkt gegenüber dem Schloss Chillon... Ich liebe diesen Ort!!!!! We stopped here for dinner after our visit to Chateau Chillon (just across the road). It was late and we did not want to look elsewhere for a place to eat. We did not regret it! The service was marvellous - we had schnitzel, omelette and one of the fish dishes (forget the name). All scrumptious and generously portioned. Not cheap but that seems to go for all dining out in Switzerland.
Wir haben hier während unseres Besuchs in den nahegelegenen Schlössern gegessen. Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet und wir haben es sehr genossen. Wir haben uns von anderen Tripadvisor-Berichten beraten lassen und wurden nicht enttäuscht!
