BUYER BEWARE, STORE STEALS TIPS!! If you order delivery directly from their store/website, they call for DoorDash to send a driver to deliver it. This would be fine except for the fact that I put a tip on my order and the driver didn 't receive a single cent of it. Only what DoorDash pays them as a base fare. When I called up the shop to ask where my money went, the manager was very rude and dismissive. My driver said that if you order through DoorDash/UberEats/GrubHub they get the tips just fine. And that ordering directly from the website is why none of the delivery notes (i.e. Leave at the side door never makes it to the drivers either. Hands down some of the worst customer service for a pizzeria/restaurant. I've gone a few times because they have a good insalata pizza which is essentially a personal salad pizza. It's a very good pie and perfect for 2 people. The issue is the counter people and the people who answer the phone talk to you like you're a piece of garbage, slam the change down on the counter, etc. If you hate your job so much, maybe quit. Only speaking on individual slices, I've tried all the pizza in about 3 mile radius from me and this is the best I've found. My only problems are, if you go during close to when they open or at busy time (like dinner) your pizza will not be up to the best standard they can do, and their drink fridge (or whatever you call it) is not nearly cold enough. Best time to go is around 1pm-3pm. All things told though this spot is #1.
Came in for the shrimp linguine marinara lunch special, and decided to stay. Food was good, and the service was great. Everyone was so sweet and accommodating! We came at 9pm on Saturday night. We felt extremely rushed. Employees were running around us like lunatics to finish their job by 10pm (folding boxes, cleaning around, very loud). It was really unpleasant experience. NEVER AGAIN! Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Waaaaaaay better experience here than La Piazza in in Plainview. No horsing around by the staff (the gentleman behind the counter was super nice) and the pizza was very good! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
La Piazza is one of my all-time favorites in Merrick. Every time they not only provide excellent service but excellent food as well. I love the Caesar salad and Rigatoni Fiorentina.
