We have had drinks there a few times sitting on the comfortable chairs overlooking the quay and the marina, but until this occasion had never eaten there. On a lovely late october lunch time, Le Cap Horn was extremely busy, and despite arriving at 13h45, we were able to order lunch. The service was good as was the food. On a point of pedantry, the oeuf dur was missing on a caesar salad but that said, I spilled a nearly full glass of beer, and they replaced it free of charge. Fair deal..... We will most certainly be back be it for drinks, or for lunch.
This was the second time we have had meal at Cap Horn, more usually stopping for a drink in the afternoon. We had another very enjoyable meal. The staff are friendly and good. The meal is not rushed so can be enjoyed at leisure. We had entrecôte steak and cod. Both were very nicely presented. The steak was quite large at 300 g. We finished off with desert and a gourmet cheese. The menu is not very extensive thus ensuring the food is good and wholesome. We can certainly recommend this place. It is popular and during high season booking is advisable.
My husband and I ate here on three occasions, twice for dinner and once for lunch. The staff are very welcoming and the food is very good for this type of restaurant. The waiter we had certainly knows his job and gives great advice on local products/menus and wines. This is a very popular restaurant so it is recommended to book in advance.
We went for a coffee with my family, we end up waiting 20 minutes for the coffee plus a bottle of water. People order their coffee after is and got it before us, the waiter ask for the order twice even though it was just coffee. Thus, not that much people in the restaurant and outside.
