Le Vivarais - Tisch reservieren

We had only stayed in Vals-les-Bains as it was midway between 2 points on our journey, and close to the gorges, so we were totally ignorant of what this town, hotel and restaurant had in store. At check in at the Hotel Helvie, they noted we didn’t have a reservation for dinner in their restaurant, and asked if we would like to make one as the following night was fully booked. Even with that hint we were still unaware of what would await us. We opted for a 35 euro menu and it was fantastic from start to finish. Service was formal but very impressive and attentive. The food was an incredible experience. We had never been to a Michelin start restaurant and could not understand all the fuss until we came here and then you appreciate the sophistication, the extreme care and the innovation in the cooking. We will never forget our wonderful dining experience here.

We were installed on the terrace under the trees. We chose the meal in 8 sequences and enjoyed it. A special mention for the brousse Areilladou dish that was our favorite with its freshness and acidity with this touch of sublime truffle. The desserts of the pastry chef perfected this very good meal. The team was very welcoming and in small care. Very nice.

Very nice restaurant with attentive staff, to your little care, explanations of delicious dishes each time before starting to taste, beautiful place, and chef Stéphane Polly who comes to greet you at your table, the only dish, the pretty expensive cheese tray, is really very small! I highly recommend, we spent a very good time Bravo to the whole team

A very high-level cuisine with delicious, delicate and refined associations, a magnificent wine map, an impeccable service than to say if it is absolutely necessary to stop there if you are a true lover of taste and that you are in Ardèche. Merit a star!!!
