There really isn't a tone of variety in terms of restaurants in Saint Hyacinthe. I come here on business fairly often and am always on the look out for something I haven't tried that is different and that is how I come to be at Le White Rabbit tonight. There isn't really anything special about this place. The food is okay, nothing to rave about, the prices are reasonable (more of less). We were four in our party and we order some wings and calamari as appetizers, they were okay. Our entrees included ribs, roasted chicken, poutine and mac and cheese. During our business trip to Saint-Hyacinthe this week, we decided to dine at Le White Rabbit one evening. While my previous experience at this restaurant wasn't great, my colleagues insisted on going back as they had enjoyed it before. The restaurant was bustling, as they were showing a Montreal Canadiens game that night. We started with calamari as an appetizer, which was decent. The cream of broccoli soup I ordered was quite tasty. Following our server's recommendation, I opted for the grilled salmon served with rice, steamed veggies, and a blue cheese sauce, which turned out to be an excellent choice. If you're not in a hurry, but are looking for some delicious food on your way north from Montreal, this restaurant is a great choice. We visited on a quiet Sunday evening in January around 7 pm. Despite the quiet atmosphere, the service was friendly and helpful, although a little slow. However, the food more than made up for it. The Tartar was outstanding, fresh, and flavorful. The Salmon Rice dish was a satisfying meal with perfectly cooked salmon, vegetables, and rice. The Brie with honey and walnuts was a delightful treat on a chilly evening. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, considering it was described as just a pub.
Monday night at 6:30pm and the place was quiet. Decor is nice. The food was not up to par, with the quality and the price. Caesar salad had seen better days. Romaine lettuce was not fresh. Very bland. The Supreme de poulet a la portugaise was nothing special but 2 pieces of chicken, some fried vegetable and small portion of french fries. The house sauce was chicken wing sauce. The fries are really good. I took the Poutine White Rabbit and it was delicious. The fried mini-ravioli entree are incredible. I tasted the fish n' chips and it was almost as good as the best one I had in my life. Service is fast and friendly. A really good bistro vibe in the place. A bit pricey for a week day, but really worth it. I'll go back with friends on a saturday night.
Usually very busy and young cegep crowd. Pub bar, live music venue. Food is regular fair with their own twist on each item. Interesting ! Bar selection is excellent with their own cocktails. Nice place to meet friends for a drink or out for dinner with wife. Nice to see this quality in St-Hyacinthe.
Wonderful place for lunch. Nice menu. You'll think you are in France! Menu has a variety of healthy foods and service was very good, friendly. Lovely views of the piazza. Great people watching.
Nice spot in St-Hyacinthe! Great food menu with a lot of choices. No local beers but some good wines are available. The beef tartar was one of the best i have eaten. Try it now! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
