we visited these places when we camp near. the location is fantastic, with views of the river and boot past. in the summer is a lot. eating was surprisingly good as we thought it was more of a snack bar, but they offer a full menu choice. the employees were friendly and cheerful, but hopelessly disorganized. we arrived twice at a steaming hot day and waited for more minutes to get a drink of everything. we had to announce the personal to ask for a water carafe, a drink, a little wee, the menu, something to cool wein, a little brot. we saw how many customers moved back and forth to the bar to collect their own things. it reminded us of fawlty towers! in hot weather it shouldn't be normal to p...

We've just moved to the area and booked this restaurant where we'd previously only had coffee or an ice-cream, as visiting friends wanted to treat us to a meal out. We chose it purely for the setting, but actually the food was very lovely too...! The staff are all very nice, the river-side terrasse rather fab, and the value for money pretty spot-on. We'll come back !

Should of eaten at Macdonalds! We were looking for a restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for a quick snack. The staff were dressed in rags, the restaurant was filthy dirty. I just can’t understand how people would want to eat there. Had the grease burger...and that’s what it was. A Shame as it could be nice with the location.

really nice location, but very disappointing service- lasted minutes to take drinks order. it took about an hour to come to eat, had to ask for our food, or we never had it. Right on the River Charente...what a view!!! Daytime and night time, great location. Food is great enjoy the starter of escargots. Atmosphere has a good vibe. Great for the family as well. Would Recommend to everyone.

beautiful place on the river, service a little slow, but if they have time, it is no problem. always go for the mush and the salate here. beautifully fresh, large portions and good taste.

Good place to eat for lunch or dinner, I like the steak and chips. Beer is cold and tasty. outdoor play park for the kids, well the adults enjoy relaxing by the river.

We had fixed price menus and salads and have to say the quality of the food was good and service to match. Overall good value at lunch

Right on the river Charente. Excellent service, excellent food, brilliant little place! We and the dog loved it!
