I was initially worried about the authenticity of Cuban cuisine, but I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and music truly capture the essence of Cuba. Luckily, our waitress, Tina, was of Cuban origin, and that’s when the fun began. Thank you, Tina, for your spot-on recommendations! Ralph, the owner, makes an effort to meet and greet his guests to ensure their satisfaction. The BYO policy adds to the appeal since it allows you to manage your expenses. Prices are reasonable given the location. This place is a must-visit, especially if you want to impress on a first date with genuine Cuban cuisine. Thumbs up, Ralph! I was able to make a reservation easily, which is not usually the case. The dining room felt cozy. We waited quite a while for our appetizers, which ended up being overlooked. We requested a replacement appetizer, but when it arrived, it was incorrect. We had ordered two meats and one cheese empanada, but instead received cheese and spinach. However, when our main courses came out, everything was great. This was my second visit, and I enjoyed both experiences.
I had visited this place a few years ago and was disappointed in the food. Enough to avoid coming back for a few years. I just went back this past weekend and the food was amazing and the service was great. I'm extremely happy with the overall experience and I'll definitely be going back very soon.
Although the service was good, I can not recommend Lidia's. We ordered the snapper, pollo asado, ropa vieja, and churrasco. The best plate was the churrasco. Unfortunately, the rest of the dishes were bland. We also ordered a side of the fried yuca but it was disappointing.

Quaint, seems authentic (I've never been to Cuba). The atmosphere is so delightful. Food was in point, tasty and worth the wait. Everything was fresh and our waitor was such an adorable guy! Been here twice in. Month, from Edison NJ. Worth the drive. Take a friend!
I ordered the ropa vieja, and it was excellent! My partner got the paella cubana, but it was missing scallops. We'll definitely try something different next time. The waiter was outstanding!
The food is fantastic, and the staff is outstanding. The ambiance is pleasant as well. I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table.
