We visited Luminarias on New Year's Eve for the first time since its recent renovation. It has been handsomely updated with sleek and stylish decor. The views remain stunning and the new menu offers a wide selection of dishes, some Latin, but many American favorites, and all the dishes were perfectly prepared and presented. Service from our server, Jose, was exceptionally friendly, gracious and capable. All staff made us feel most welcome and appreciated. It was a first class experience in every way.
Food was good but server seemed rushed and didn’t take the time to listen to what the customer needed. Also, I specifically told host that I wanted to be seated inside and he directed me to a table outside instead. Ii had to show him that there were at least 4 empty tables inside before he finally seated us inside.
Entrance was splendid, picture perfect. Lobby with the fireplace was very inviting and a pleasant place to wait to be seated. We sat on the outside deck with a nice view of the lights. Appetizer were varied and select entrees were nicely portioned and delicious. A real dining treat!
We dined on January 31, 2002. We were promptly seated at our reservation time in a quiet area of the restaurant with great views of the San Gabriel Valley. The service was great, and the food and drinks met all of our expectations. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Very delicious food! The beef empanadas, the duck fat fries, the prime hanger steamer, along with Dave’s margarita! Andrew was a good server too!
slow service not attentive, servers did not meet requests nor did they seem to have time to assist us in anything.
