We enjoyed some fantastic meals during our visit, especially since we were celebrating our anniversary. My wife tried her dish and found it to be delicious and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately, my steak was overcooked and had a burnt taste, almost like charcoal. My wife tasted it and immediately said it was awful and that I should send it back. I hesitated because I knew she wouldn’t eat her meal until I got my replacement, and by then hers would definitely be cold—something she really dislikes. In retrospect, I should have spoken up about my meal, but honestly, it shouldn’t have made it out of the kitchen in that condition.
The service and food were disappointing. There were numerous servers just standing around, seemingly doing nothing. We had to flag down a waiter to take our order. They clearly weren't busy. Our waiter never provided any details about the menu, but when he served a table of eight, you could hear him just fine. I suppose we just weren't a priority. My veal medallion was more like a tough piece of meat than anything else. The coffee was awful, and the menus were dirty. I was not impressed with the amount we had to pay. I will not be returning.
We had great experience. The food was excellent and the service was superb... We had not been there in years do to our moving out of the area. The whole restaurant was redone... light, bright and cheerful. We are still in NJ for a few weeks, can't wait to go back again......
Everything my friends and my husband and I ordered. The best salmon and veal valdostano we have ever eaten. Can’t say enough about our experience at this well established restaurant!
