Went with friends to this amazing place for breakfast. They had the eggs with bacon. Me! I had the pancakes and they were absolutely awesome. I can honestly say these were the best ones I have had in a very, very long time. I was unsure how the mandarin flavour mixed with the poppy seed pancakes were going to taste but they blew me away. They also sell clothing, jewellery and they also make and sell their own preserved fruits, vegetables jams that looked wonderful as well all done on the premises!!. The staff were so friendly and they were really helpful. This shop is worth a visit if you are in Melbourne or going near Hawthorn. It is a smallish building but bursting with wonderful food coff...
Went to Mallalieu this morning, and could not have been happier! Im not sure if it was the delicious food cooked to perfection (we had the brekky bowl and the parmesan french toast with salmon), or the perfectly made coffee, or the tasting of the raw peanut butter brownie, or the sweetest attentive service, but we left feeling awesome. You can really feel the passion the team put in to create, cook, merchandise (the boutique), clean and be of service to thier customers.
I went to Mallalieu for brunch this morning and ordered the smashed avocado with bacon. It was absolutely delicious! The dish was beautifully presented and offered great value. I also found a couple of Christmas presents in the boutique. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The restaurant has a chilled and relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.
Great cafe, named after a family name. I stopped in at 4pm Thursday for a tall long black coffee and warmed apple crumble muffin all very nice. I sat in the quiet courtyard out back (very peaceful and plenty of seating). I will have to visit again. Also open Saturdays.
