Let me start off by saying I’ve had some good experiences with Mama’s Place in the past but my most recent experience will be my last unfortunately. (09/22/23)I ordered on a Friday and I’m sure it was busy. I understand that mistakes happen but to me it’s all about how they’re responded to.I ordered online, nearly an hour and a half in advance and requested at 4:08pm to be delivered at 5:40pm. Pizza arrived at 6:20pm, although not thrilled at being 40 minutes late, I can appreciate being busy. It was delivered with no acknowledgement of being late. When I called back at 8 PM, the owner or manager claimed it wasn't his fault; he had instructed his young employee to cancel the order, and it was not his responsibility if she hadn't done so. He then put a young person on the line to address my complaint. I could tell she was instructed to handle it, and she explained that she hadn't told me to cancel. I felt sorry for her and asked to speak to the manager again. Instead of addressing my concerns, he interrupted me, insisting it wasn't his fault, and then raised his voice to what I would consider yelling. He told me, "I’ll refund you," and abruptly hung up. I'm not sure why it had me posted as one star, but I definitely think more highly of this restaurant than one star. The food is great, and the staff and owner are always super friendly. It's the only restaurant in town that I find has the same consistency in quality of food every time you order. They have a huge variety of options and I find the prices to be reasonable. I've only ever experienced one time where the wait long (2 hrs) and one mishap with a Greek salad that came with no dressing but the owner was quick to remedy the situation. Other than those two times I've never had any problems. I will continue to order take out from here for my family Weekly.
This restaurant serves the best club subs I've ever had! Working here is a fantastic experience; the bosses are wonderful, and the work environment is amazing. The staff feels like family. I love the Almonte special pizza it’s amazing . This staff is always nice and polite. The only problem I had was with the salad or lack of. It was 11.99 for a ceaser salad and there is hardly anything in it. I was blown away that they would charge 12 for something so small.
We are new to Almonte and ordered here the second time we tried delivery and won’t turn back. Hands down amazing food excellent quality the taste is 11/10 and they never disappoint! It’s our ONLY go to now! Thanks for pumping out such great food!! Highly recommend!

The pizzas are delicious, and the steak sub is my favorite! The poutines are also fantastic!
