Clean spot, you’ll feel the ac the closer you get to the register. You order first then sit anywhere and bring your order to the table but do not bring condiments. Lemon wedge served with our meals, used to getting limes. The food was bland, but the amount of shrimp in the cocktail was more than I’ve ever seen. Will give it another try. We had lunch there today, and it was quite enjoyable! The shrimp cocktail was absolutely delicious. We ordered it with medium spice, and while I think I could have handled it spicier, I played it safe. The catfish filet was a bit on the fishy side, but everything else was really good!
My wife exclaimed that the food here is even better than some of the restaurants on South Padre Island, a place we often visit. I have to agree with her—wow, this food is absolutely amazing! This will definitely be our favorite spot when we come back to Commerce.
El Golfo is the only seafood restaurant in Commerce, TX. The place is tidy and well-kept. The portion sizes are generous, and the staff is very friendly. My personal favorites are the whole fried tilapia and the shrimp gumbo! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I was fascinated by the food but I found a small insect in my celery and it was not pleasant to be eating and seeing the dead insects on the base of the window. they just need a little more cleaning.
