The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. However, during my last visit, I asked for a box to take my salad home. The waitress brought me the containers and proceeded to pack the salad herself as part of the service. Unfortunately, when transferring the salad into the container, not all of it came out, prompting her to use her bare hands to scrape the remainder into the box. I was shocked and expressed my concerns about her touching the food with her bare hands. She tried to explain that she was just trying to get all the salad in, but I decided to decline the salad altogether. I had not been to Mario the Baker prior to my visit the other day. The family was looking for pizza, and Mario popped up in our Google search. As we pulled up outside, I was skeptical about going in. I couldn't imagine what I would find entering the place. Much to my surprise and delight, it is a cozy Italian restaurant with white linen tablecloths. We were there for takeout, though, and we wanted pizza. We ordered a large half cheese half pepperoni pizza and an order of garlic knots. I ordered my food rare, but it was raw. They remade it, but it was still raw. Additionally, we found fruit flies in our fountain drinks. Our server was not able to handle the situation and kept bothering us about the flies in our Pepsi. To make matters worse, one of the cooks came out of the kitchen with a fly swatter and started hitting flies off the ceiling right by our table while we were eating. This experience was not like it used to be. My family and I have been going for years and have never had these issues before. This will be our last visit.

The food at this restaurant is delicious! The bread is amazing and the cuisine is truly authentic old-school Italian. It feels like my grandmother is cooking in the kitchen. We are thrilled that we discovered this place and will definitely return when we are in town. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The food is fantastic. The atmosphere may be simple, but the food is just as delicious as the original and so is the pizza. The service is friendly, with the staff working hard to provide great service. I feel like I am getting great value for my money, especially compared to other restaurants. I love Italian cuisine, and this restaurant is definitely one of my favorites.
