WOW! Just WOW. Welcomed by Annie who was our waitress. Interesting and charming and 1,000 watts of smile. Annie understood that some customers can think American Italian foods. Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer (another WOW) Annie explained it is in red sauce and some more cheese. Definitely homemade and generous portion. I ordered the three great Ravioli with three different sauces Alfredo, red Pesto and yes another WOW. Homemade Italian dressing...well you know what word is popular with me on this review. If you are looking for authentic Italian food ... charming smiles wait staff...love atmosphere... This is your place.... I promise you to say WOW in a good way... and not just once!
I wish I could visit this restaurant more frequently, but I've been out of town quite a bit lately! I used to come here often during my time in Shawnee since it was just a short walk away when the weather was nice. I really enjoy dining here—I do miss the regular server who worked here for years, but I’ve always received great service. The tricolor tortellini and the pasta dish with salmon are absolutely delicious!
A very competent Italian restaurant! The atmosphere was good, the food was quite tasty, and the staff was friendly. There was a sign as we went in apologizing for some price increases, but as a visitor from Cincinnati, I found the bill far less than I'm used to. Four stars instead of five as I did find the veal was a bit tough in the Picatta, so I'd suggest the chicken.
I'm crazy about forgetting this place all the time. Traditional Italian cuisine right in the heart of Portsmouth. Free bread to start your meal and a very preliminary staff. Never wait long for placement. The food is good! I wish they had a better wine menu.
