After reading the reviews, their only real issue is being in too white of a neighborhood. I can't speak Spanish at all and they don't speak English very well (still better than my Spanish). Congrats on being so ignorant that you feel people who don't speak English are a inconvenience even though you when into a Spanish place. Google translate might help you look less racist and like you made a effort to convey your stupid thoughts to another person.Their food is freaking amazing. I get a chicken cutlet every time I go. Restaurant has gone down the drain since switching owners from mi casita. The food was meh. The service was horrible! The girl had us eating our empanadas on napkins, forgot to give us spoons for our beans, and never checked on us until half way through the meal when she brought the check; not sure that she had even the most basic of waiting skills. Besides that, DO NOT fall for the credit card surcharge fee. It’s illegal in the state of CT and will be reporting it to the ct bureau of consumer protection so that other people aren’t shaken down for more money.
My Fiancé went in and was unable to communicate at all with the woman, she spoke no English at all. He picked 2 items. 1 was a fried patty of some kind with corn in it and the other item was a little fried ball that tasted a little sweet. He asked for 1in English and Spanish, and she gave him 2. He seemed to like the corn patty but not like the little ball. I didn't care foreither of them. Nice lady but she should probably learn to speak a little English and maybe would of made a better sale. He alsosaw no menus and she didn't understand when he asked.
Unfortunately it was not a great experience. I was expecting little bit more based about others reviews.The food was to greasy and tasty not really fresh.The empanadas and Chicharron were like re fried so for that reason the taste were not good.The service was good and I understand it was not her fault but restaurant needs to improve more things.

I decided to try the bandeja paisa. The food was quite tasty overall, but I found the steak to be a bit tough. However, the portion size was generous for the price. Their dishes are very reasonably priced. I would definitely come back and give it another try. Rated 4 out of 5 for food.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic! I ordered a variety of dishes and enjoyed every one of them. The lady who took my order was also very kind. I only wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.
The sea food in the in the parihuela was gross, and nothing was done by waitress despite of telling her and showing her. Soup is too pricey for quality.
Food was great! Had to wait a little because they make everything from scratch. Try the pupusas.
