This review is for the small counter cafe serving Starbucks. If I could give ZEEO stars I would. There was only one young lady (with green hair and pretty makeup) working behind the counter with at least 4-8 people in line both times I went to get coffee. First time at 9 second time at 10. This review is for the coffee walk up counter in Mont Bleu. We are currently staying at the hotel and today is our 10 year anniversary. The fresh brewed coffee was so terrible, I could not drink it and I'm not picky about coffee. I will usually drink anything. I tried to go back down to get a fresh cup and the lady working was very rude and it seemed to bother her that I didn't like the coffee. I asked for a refund after she told me the coffee was fresh brewed, which it did not taste like it. She told me she didn't have a code for a refund so she couldn't give me a refund. My mom and I came here to have a late dinner at 9pm because their hours posted said they were open until 10pm. The hostess was at the bar with no mask on laughing and chatting it up with another employee. After waiting 5 minutes she 's comes over and asks what we want. Everybody in this casino is wildly rude. Brent, the heavyset guy who manages the café was so mean to our party. When we showed up, 17 minutes late... He told us they canceled our reservation because we were 20 minutes late. When I pointed out that we were only 17 minutes late and we were in the hotel, they could've called us... He then told me he could cancel it after 10 or 15 minutes. I have never had such terrible service and rude people that I encountered in this hotel. We had five rooms and spent thousands of dollars in the casino. I visited this restaurant on a Friday evening and was immediately confronted with unfriendly and hurried service. The woman at the front counter, who I believe has received similar feedback from others, was rude and dismissive, practically refusing to provide us with more than one menu. She tossed the menus down and appeared annoyed that we had come in to place an order. I was quite taken aback! We were simply there to order our food for takeout, not for sit-down service. Suffice it to say I won't be returning. On the bright side, the food was decent, which is why I’m giving it two stars. Proceed at your own risk!
The room was pretty basic and lacking in charm, though the bathroom was spacious and the view was nice. However, the snack food options were limited. It’s hard to enjoy the atmosphere when you’re staring at a wall in your room. Overall, it missed the mark on ambience.
This place likely serves the best pizza in Lake Tahoe. It was absolutely delicious—so good that I wish I had a slice right now! I brought half a pizza back to my hotel, and even the cold pizza later that night was great!
