Please train your staff in the art of customer service! Mum and I popped into this cafe for a quick bite to eat, and were suitably unimpressed by the clear lack of hospitality. We'd obviously been noticed by the 3 female staff stood behind the counter sniggering and laughing at us whilst we were sat at the table unsure of whether we had to order at the bar or get table service. If it is order at the bar, this is not abundantly clear, especially with the price of £9 for a soup and a sandwich ! We visited the restaurant on Wednesday around 2:05 pm and patiently waited by the register. One staff member was checking the temperature of a milkshake and taking notes. Despite knowing we were waiting to be served, he walked past us without acknowledging us and went to another machine. Eventually, he went back into the kitchen area without making eye contact or saying a word to us. After a while, a woman (possibly Wendy or Mandy) came out and stood behind the register, glaring at us without smiling or speaking. We stopped by this restaurant while shopping and ordered a cake from the counter after a short wait. We also ordered two lattes, but encountered a problem - both self-service drinks machines were not working and displayed a message indicating they needed cleaning. We informed a staff member, who suggested we use another drinks machine in the store and carry our drinks back to the cafe area. We felt this was a bit risky with children running around. After waiting a while with no progress on the machines being cleaned, we decided to get a refund. We were just grateful that we were able to inform the staff about the issue with the drinks machines.
Use this place a few times a week for work. Every time you arrive theres no one serving on the till and unless you put your head in the kitchen and ask to be served your just left at the till like a spare part. Food is usually acceptable . They are supposed to close at 6 but don't count on it they are always closing early. Came today every table littered with uncleared food and rubbish. No excuses regarding short staffed it frequently like this.

This cafe can have very good days and really disappointing ones. This appears to be totally dependent on the staff on duty. It needs a real contribution by the management to re-emphasise what the staff are there for and retrain as necessary
Had a Chunky Beef Pie w/chips peas at West Kirby last week, it was excellent. Today had the same meal at Southport but sadly the pie had less meat in it and the pastry was hard and horrible. Don't bother with the Southport branch
My first choice of chicken was unavailable so I went for the sausages. Arrived in under 10 min, excellent. However the let down was dirty tables and floor, the cutlery had dried in stains on them.
The cafe supermarket was extremely cold with no heating on. I have frequented this place often, but the quality has declined recently. Please improve or I will have to look for another option.

Staff member very ignorant and attitude appealing the bloke with glasses) proper jobsworth. Ordered fish n chips, chips were like rubber and fish was burnt.
Food was lovely better than some restaurants in this tow mash was lovley done creamy and nice gravy came in a little jug simply Fabulous
