I enjoyed this café since it was opened a few years ago. The choice of location in a beautiful park is excellent and the venue has plenty of natural daylight inside and a large terrace for outdoor seats. But they're taking their customers for now. Here are experiences from my two recent visits. The staff answers questions about the ingredients of a plate in an offhand way, as if they cannot be exactly harassed. They ignore the fact that they are in a conversation with a customer and cut away with the middle word to float away and talk to an employee. There is a self-respected, pompous male food maker, who sees himself as if he is a camping advisor and the customer is an obstreporous camper....
Considering that this is basically the coffee/sandwich shop for a community sports and recreation centre we were delighted to find that it exceeded expectations. On a beautiful Sunday morning we stopped for espresso and croissants and opted to sit on the extensive terrace. The fact that the cafe sits in an elegant park allows the cafe to offer a very unique ambiance. The next day we returned for lunch and sat inside due to the rain.The interior is also very comfortable and welcoming and our meal as good.
Noir's mouthpiece is one of my 3 year old daughter's favorite hairs, and it's also one of me. The Westmount leisure centre is ideal for a family-friendly café. It has a menu that serves the whole family like quesadillas, soup, ice cream and coffee. The atmosphere reminds me of a coffee shop on a university campus (i.e.: coffee stand outside the Green Library in Stanford). It is clean, safe, relaxed, has good music, and great service. By then:
I absolutely love this restaurant for lunch with a friend. They serve delicious, simple food that is made fresh to order. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, so you can enjoy your meal in a comfortable environment. I felt reassured about dining here during the COVID pandemic. Located in Westmount Recreation Centre, so a convenient location for both rec centre patrons and Westmount residents. All the food, from pastries to sandwiches, are delicious and made in-house. The coffee is great, beats out Starbucks any day. And the bilingual staff are always super...friendly and efficient. All around, a wonderful cafe with a relaxed vibe. A nice place to stop through any day of the week!

Having a café in the recreation center is a wonderful idea. It is a great place to take a break, while either skating or walking through the park for a cup of coffee or a soup and sandwich. Features include: friendly staff, a nice spacious eating area and good home-cooked food. Open 7 days a week.
