The menu at this restaurant is mostly vegan, but some items may contain real cheese and it's possible that the pita bread contains egg. Most of the food was delicious, especially the BLT, gyro, lasagna, and milkshakes. The BLT stood out with its delicious garlic mayo. However, the nachos were disappointing as they lacked melty cheese and the vegan cheese on top was not melted or heated. The service was mixed, and the small tables, while understandable in a limited space, made it difficult to enjoy a meal without dishes being removed immediately.
I absolutely adore the food at this restaurant. It’s exactly what I would cook for myself if I had the time. My favorite dish is the beet burger salad, while my partner loves the vegan gyro. The mashed sweet potato is also divine. The only letdown for us has been the nachos, which are quite ordinary. If you opt for takeout, be sure to double-check your order before leaving as they can be a bit forgetful and may miss a side dish. However, don't let that stop you from trying their delicious and reasonably priced food.
I've dined at Munch a handful of times in the past 3 years. Overall, the food is underwhelming, but the brownies are amazing. Some of the dishes just taste odd. For example, the base for their tzatziki sauce is pure mayo, which just ruins their vegan gyro. The food is often under or over cooked. Overall, it's just more expensive than it should be for what they offer. They could be great if they continued to perfect their recipes; until then I'll head to the Chicago Diner.
I came to dinner on Saturday night, it was full, but not loud. service was friendly and not rushed. it's just cash, but I had money. I came for a burger and they had a beetburger or a black bohnenburger. I have the rübenburger, who had a dill tzatziki sauce, delightful on their own, but not enough to give enough flavor and so the burger was a bit bland. the beingeschirr, lentil soup, was amazing as the vanilleshake. overall I was very happy and filled.
Drove 40 minutes to try this place out. The wasn't really clear on what was vegan and what could be made vegan. The buns have egg in them. I had the gyro which was good and had potatoes as a side and they were way undercooked and hard hence the 3 star review. $14 for a gyro and undercooked potatoes. Munch is an exceptional local restaurant that offers fantastic vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free choices. They have outdoor seating that is pet-friendly and the staff is very friendly. The service may be slow due to being short-staffed, but it's worth the wait. Keep in mind that they only accept cash, so make sure to come prepared.
I recently moved to the neighborhood and am thrilled to have found an all-vegan restaurant within walking distance! I tried the gyro and creamy cauliflower soup, both of which were delicious. I also picked up a rice crisp treat for later, which was fantastic. I will definitely be returning in the future!
The food here is so fresh and delicious! I?ve never had a Vegan Gyro before and theirs was so spot-on, I had to double check that I was at a vegan restaurant. I also tried the Wild Mushroom Polenta and the Super Grain Quinoa Salad?both were equally asyummy. I will definitely return.
I had polenta with mushrooms kale. It was delicious. Lots of vegan options! I always forget to take a picture.
