I will start off by saying that I really wanted to like this place because I’ve heard good things about it but I did not have a good experience. We ordered the crabmeat stuffed artichokes as an appetizer. It was not made with fresh crabmeat. It was either canned or imitation krab. There was no flavor or appealing texture to the dish. Next my wife orders lobster bisque, the waiter brings out mushroom bisque. Not to cause a stir she decides to keep it. It was also bland and had a slimy texture. We also got the beard service and I’ll tell you the herbed butter was the best tasting item of the night. I also ordered the wedge salad and it was ok at best. Manager was a unaccommodating we have eaten there over 10 times we spent over 300.00 for 6 dinner had to keep asking for bread and butter 6 times and then found out they charge $3.00 per bread order it cost me $20.00 for bread who the hell charges for bread !!!! . I had 1 old fashioned drink asked for an item on a smoked cocktail piece of plastic cover for a birthday party present and said you can Get them on Amazon. It was a $2.00 item. I Order octopus got 4 -2” pieces with small lettuce and $16.00 food average and management has gone down hill.
The host staff was friendly and inviting. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. Our waiter, Camille, helped us to get in on the Eventide special as we arrived really close to the cutoff time. The restaurant is beautiful, and we could easily have a conversation without yelling to be heard, even while the restaurant was packed. The food was beautifully plated and tasted delicious. Will definitely be back.
Always a pleasure dining here. The Hogfish dinner is a guilty pleasure along with their green salad with cilantro/lime dressing. The staff is always attentive without being intrusive and the wines are the perfect pairing. Fine dining experience. Varied menu.......many choices. Excellent presentation. Service was flawless. Pleasant atmosphere. Only disappointment was the soft shell crab dinner.......heavily coated and overcooked, Almost could not taste the crab........... otherwise, a pleasant dining event for our party of six
I love this restaurant. This was my choice for my birthday and it did not disappoint. My scallops were awesome (as usual), others had the filet, chicken, and bouillabaisse all excellent. Finished with cappuccino and small dessert. Service was spectacular.
A bit pricey. Get there at 4:00 when they open and get the specials. This place fills quickly and I recommend calling for a reservation.
