First time there and it was a very good experience. I had the filet and my friend had a gumbo sytle dish. The steak was an excellent cut and cooked perfectly. The house wine was excellent and the service was cheerful and quick. Love their wine glasses too! I found Newell House to be reminiscent of high end places I’m used to visiting in larger cities and the cost was reasonable. We were there pretty early in the evening so there weren’t many customers so I don’t know how things run when they’re full but I’ll definitely be going back!
we ask the newell house adieu with a last visit at their next night. they offered an excellent service and great food, although with a decreasing menu, to the end. many thanks for this and many good visits. we wish the management and the personal in future well.
My only recommendation would be that the chef NOT wear his chef's coat when going to the restroom or out back to smoke. And that he try to have a clean coat on when entering the dining area.

Food was great...service not so much. Once we received our meal, we didn’t see our server until well after we were finished and ready for the check. No drink refills or check in at all.
very sad to see this facility. this was the first place where we went after our engagement in 2017. we will miss newell house.
