This restaurant was highly recommended to us but I was underwhelmed. The food was ok, the sea bass was sort of tasteless and the petite filet was served on bread and tomatoes. The highlight was the chili. The margaritas were pricey and just not that good. The worst however, was the noise level. I was there with my husband and we could barely conduct a conversation it was so loud. We won’t be going back
We have never eaten at Nick’s before so decided to give it a try after finding it on yelp. We like to meet friends in the area between orange county and San Diego. We often eat at sun-dried tomato and San Juan Capistrano but decided to try something different. Nick’s is a nice restaurant but the food was not great and it was too noisy for us to enjoy our conversation at lunchtime. We will not return.
The food at Nick's is consistently delicious. Our server was very attentive and patient. We enjoyed a lovely meal. The only downside is the noise level. We went on a Sunday afternoon at and even at that time it was quite noisy. That said, we are glad that Nick's is busy as we like to see our local businesses doing well. We will definitely be back.
Nick's has always been one of the best restaurants in San Clemente. They continue to "up" their game. The new Wagyu center cut filet is a good upgrade for us carnivores and my better half is a new convert to the cioppino. If you are lucky enough to be seated in Cole's section, be sure you get his wine recommendations.
A member of our party had food allergies. The servers were very attentive in the food order to assure that the food was free of allergens. Very much appreciated their time and extra effort in assuring a safe meal. Thank you!
It's always delicious and am a big fan. Had the Cioppino which is a big win there. My husband had the beef dip sandwich and loved it. The tuna tartare appetizer was also yummy. Still one of our favorites!
amazing waitress. good food, too loud. Why are you playing music all the noise? probably the oldest will not bring back here.
I've eaten a Nicks San Clemente several times now and it does not disappoint. Looking forward to our next visit.
