This was my first time visiting Norm's Hangar Coffee Shop, a long-standing favorite for those who appreciate watching planes take off and land in a peaceful setting. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose the outdoor area to enjoy the plane views.
The place was lively, which was encouraging, and it was fun to hear a birthday song sung to another table. However, I was disappointed to receive a dirty coffee cup, though the staff quickly replaced it.

I?ve been going to Norms hanger for years and let me say that I?ve personally never been disappointed with their food and their service. The staff is always friendly. I went this morning and had the kitchen sink?..best omelette I?ve had thus far. I got it with hash browns and biscuits and gravy. Sooo good!!! Did I mention that you get an amazing view of the San Gabriel mountains as well as being able to watch the planes take off at Brackett airport?! Such a great vibe. While having our breakfast on the outside patio, We saw quite a bit of single engine planes taxing by at the hold short area right in front of the breakfast joint. Our Waffle combo, Strawberry Supreme, Breakfast Sandwich, and Chicken Fried Steak came out so quick (less than 10 minutes . Four of us were enjoying typical American style breakfast and unlimited coffee while watching planes take off and land on Rwy 26L. The given 5-star is for the level of service (very attentive and friendly staffs and the nostalgic feeling. We did not expect the Michelin?s stars kind of food, we were here because of the view and a dream of one day one of us might become a pilot. :
Had breakfast here with my Mother, wife, and granddaughter. The atmosphere was very nice. We ate outside as my granddaughter, 3yo, really enjoyed the watching the planes landing and taking off. The servings were enormous including the kid menu items. I had the kitchen sink omelet, with a pancake on the side. It cooties have fed 2 people easily. My wife had a waffle combo with eggs and bacon. Mom had the stuffed pancake which is a pancake stuffed with bacon. It was all delicious I highly recommend this out of the way relaxed spot.

I tried the pancake combo, and the pancakes were excellent—big and satisfying! The scrambled eggs and bacon were tasty too, though the bacon was slightly overdone, it still had good flavor. My partner went with the waffles, which were flavorful and had a thick, filling texture. The welcoming staff made the atmosphere even better. Overall, it was a wonderful way to start our day with a delicious brunch.
Norm's Hangar Coffee Shop is a wonderful place. Although I hadn’t been in several years, I enjoyed an excellent breakfast there last week. The menu offers great options, making it perfect for families. If you don’t mind waiting for a table on the patio, you’ll get to enjoy a fantastic view of the planes taking off and landing.
I absolutely adore this place! The experience of enjoying a delicious breakfast while watching various airplanes take off and land is truly unique. It's a spot that appeals to all ages. Who doesn't love planes?
Breakfast is absolutely amazing, just like the stunning view of the mountains. The kids really enjoy watching the planes take off and land. The terrace is the perfect spot to soak it all in.
