Used to love this place. Convenient and very cute. We dined in on our way to a play one night and was quite possibly the worst Thai meal we'd ever had. We had fish which I can guarantee you was not fresh, we couldn't even eat it. Given we used to like it, we tried take away, and again, was absolutely awful. We ran into someone who said they had just dined there and it was great. Once more we tried it again, awful. Not only was it awful but we had to drive back to the restaurant twice because they forgot things or gave us the wrong meal..... really not happy. You cannot make a meal so bad each three times. Ate here with two other friends on a Monday evening. No need to book as very quiet but don't let that fool you - very good Thai food!We shared the roti with peanut sauce and the chicken dumplings off their new menu, plenty to go around between three of us.We then shared green beef curry (ok), lucky duck (yum!) and the calamari from the chef's special. Those dishes plus fried rice was enough to fill us up and we enjoyed all dishes especially the duck.Unfortunately they were out of the deep fried ice cream.All reasonably priced, we brought our own bottle of wine as BYO.
Have been eating at Northern Thai for about ten years. Not too regularly but always look forward to it.Since it changed hands it is even better. Now, most Thai restaurants never do all the dishes well, but this place do most well and some excellent dishes.The calamari is excellent, has great texture and flavour.The red curry and panang curry among my favourites. The dishes are also a good size, this being important to me.Young Wait staff are very nice and friendly, except for the arrogant owner. (Easy to pick out.)
This is one of the first choices when we just want to go out for dinner but don't want to make a big occasion of it. The ambience is friendly but not grand and the food is so grand it's family-friendly. It's BYO and the staff are so great they pretend to understand my Thai. Serves are generous, prices are reasonable and it is thoroughly recommended.

My wife and I really love this place. After spending time in Thailand this place is exactly what we want. You wont get the great expensive restaurant feel but what u do get is a bunch of good friendly Thai's serving good thai food at a reasonable price. The Pad see ew is delicious....good place for good food and some BYO wine.
This is a hidden gem in Ascot. The food is sensational. Fish and Papaya salad is probably the best Thai dish I've eaten and the presentation is amazing. Massaman beef is deliciously tender and the pieces of beef are generous. The service is wonderful. Price is good too. Open 7 days a week and you will become a regular.
Dinner for four at an outside table. Prompt friendly service and most importantly the food was amazing. Special Mention for the soft shell crab and the Pad Thai. Looking forward to our next visit - most likely next week ????
Excellent Thai cuisine. Party of 6 all enjoyed a wide variety of dishes, mixed entre selection was worth it. I had the yellow chicken curry which had just the right amount of spice and heat. Definitely will return.
