The staff is very kind and gracious, but the food is just OK. I ordered beef stew, white rice and beans (from buffet, was 10-11$ . The beef was a bit bland, but I liked the texture. I would revisit the restaurant to try something else if I am in the area. I'd advise if you are ordering from the buffet that they give a lot of rice. Most of my container was rice, but I did not factor that in my review (I would have told her when to stop if I was paying attn .
The service was terrible if you're not Latin American. If you don't speak Spanish, I recommend avoiding this place. The waitstaff was quite rude, and the atmosphere feels unwelcoming if you don't understand the language. It's unfortunate because Maplewood takes pride in its diversity.
The place offers a vast variety of fresh food. I loved eating here. The employees are always welcoming, rates are convenient and the spot is always well organised.
