We headed down to Off the Hook last night - first time. Not the greatest night to head out for dinner - it was bucketing down rain, but so glad we did - the food is awesome. We shared a starter of Salt and Pepper Squid. So tender and tasty. I had the Beer Battered Flathead with salad and a side of chips. Pretty special. It's licensed and BYO - which is a bonus. Great staff - great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
The cafe is bright & it was packed! Luckily we booked, there was 6 of us! I had the Pan Fried Barramundi which just melted in your mouth! My friend had the Whole Fish with the coconut & chilli sauce. The sauce was amazing! I had a small mouthful. It wasn't too hot & it was so tasty! The wait staff were polite & explained the menu beautifully! It was my first time there & it won't be my last!
Ducked down to the cafe for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. It was quiet but the food was fantastic. I had the crispy baby snapper - try it you won't be disappointed. Whilst it's done to death these days their salt and pepper calamari was defiantly a stand out and the grilled octopus is a must have. They went the extra mile and made up a small birthday cake for my son, a great touch.
The room is nice and the colors smooth. The staff greeting was very friendly. The food was just so fresh and tasty. Had the octopus with smoked hummus. The flavours were really well balanced. We then had the fried fish, beautiful. The fish pie and its very flavoursome lemon sauce and I had the malloway with green curry and it was delightful. I found off the hook on online and loved the menu for my husband's birthday. We decided to walk from Long reef lookout to have lunch on Saturday afternoon to find a note on the door that the restaurant was CLOSED FOR 1.5 MONTHS!We would have enjoyed trying your restaurant. Poor form not putting a notification for your customers on your website.
We had our first dining experience at this little quirky restaurant last Saturday. Wow how delicious the food was. Utterly scrumptious! The 4 of us loved our food and will definitely be back for more. It's awesome to have such a wonderful restaurant close to home.
Phoned to book a table and left a message at 4pm. Left another at 5pm. Didn't hear back, even though the website says they are open from "11am til late". Called 5 more times between 5:30 and 6:30pm, then gave up.
Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, easy to park, Council carpark near by BUT ABOVE ALL THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I was greatly surprised how nice the fish pie was we both ordered. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Delicious and different. Great cocktails, ambience and service. Fish Pie and backed oysters go to dishes. Good luck with this new venture, so glad you picked my hood to move into.
