Honestly, and I rarely say this, don't waste your money here. There are much better options literally metres away. On Shore tries to be something for all and misses the mark for everyone. It is like they have a short order cook trying to cover a very broad menu. So while the panko crumb on the veal schnitzel is great, the gravy is so viscous it can't be poured, the mash is hard and heavy and the peas have seen better days. The seafood platter, which is priced like a four star plate, has oily batter, tasteless prawns, tough octopus and cold fries. The oyster and scallop were great. But the salmon was dry, the mussels inedible and a fried prawn mushy. On the up side there is reasonable wine at...
After a late morning beach run, stopped off at "On Shore" for lunch. Sat outside in the warm Autumn sun, ordered a pulled pork roll & a twice cooked pork wrap plus wedges. There was a special that included Sapporo beers which complimented the meal nicely.Very pleasant & relaxing, the wait staff were efficient, meal very enjoyable & the bill comparable with the other eateries along the beach.
Came for lunch on a sunny day.Atmosphere is casual and clean. Service was a bit robotic, no personality. We came with extended family. The burgers were good, the wedges and chips also great. The nachos however, terrible. Cheap ingredients and poor execution. For the price you could do nachos at home ten times better.Would come back for the burgers though as they were priced well and decent.
Went there with my family on a beautiful March day, pleasant welcoming staff with a reasonable Fish and meat based menu. Light bites and children's menu available. I had the fish and chips (which was Perch) and it was perfect, likewise my wife's lamb was excellent. Decor was a little dark. Portion sizes were reasonable.

Ordered poached eggs with bacon which arrived cold, coffee was also lukewarm. Didn't attempt to finish eating it. After complaining they took the price of the meal off our tab.

Always busy, this place does great coffee and has a fantastic location on Dee Why beach where one can watch the surfers by day.
Been here a few times now & the food & service are always good.
