I was craving papaya salad and decided to try Owl Pop Up. The restaurant is conveniently located across the street from Costco and Hilltop Park, where I planned to go for a walk afterwards. The shop may be small, but it has a welcoming atmosphere. You order at the counter and then find a seat. The portions are big, with the large cup of coffee being even larger than my usual Jamba Juice size. The fried rice I ordered had a delicious combination of chicken, beef, and shrimp. Everything I tried was tasty! Next time, I'll order my food to go and enjoy it at Hilltop Park.
Felt super authentic, flavor was super savory and complex. We ordered two dishes: moo ping pork skewers and kaprow.The moo ping was super tender and well seasoned. The dipping sauces were also quite good and went well with the meat. The kaprow was exceptionally good I ordered chicken. However, it was quite spicy, but did not overpower the other flavors of the dish. The stir fry consisted of meat, bell peppers, onion, basil, and slivers of birds eye chili.
I recently visited Eulen Owl for the second time and both experiences were enjoyable. The first time I tried their BBQ plate and the sausages were the standout dish. This time, I opted for more traditional Thai dishes and the boat noodle was comforting with a delicious broth. The pad kee mao portion was smaller compared to other places, but it was bold and filling. I appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes.
I just ordered from here because I was craving Thai and this place was closest to my work. I only ordered the pad see ew.Pros: Portion, Price and the beef they used was really great quality. (The beef even looked like it was seared)Cons: Noodles were too soft, a bit on the salty side. My deal breaker was the amount of oil used. I had to use 3 paper towels to soak up a good portion of the oil.Will I try it again? Maybe.
The food at this restaurant was delicious. The Lao papaya salad was ordered very spicy, and we also enjoyed the belly pork with rice. We opted for takeout for dinner, and the price per person ranged from $10 to $20. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated as a 3 out of 5. I arrived at the restaurant around lunchtime with a group of eight people and our food was served promptly. We ordered a variety of dishes, but I chose the pad see ew with shrimp and tofu, mango sticky rice, and butterfly tea. The fried pork belly was absolutely delicious - I regret not getting my own plate instead of stealing from my friend's!
The Black Bell was amazing - the food was crispy yet tender and juicy. The fried rice, which we tried both types of, was so delicious that we could have kept eating it until it was gone. Every bite was full of umami flavor. Next time I'm in Long Beach, I will definitely be back. Great job!
Very tasty fast Thai food. Not too spicy compared to some others. Pad Thai and Krawpow excellent flavor. Large Thai tea is big enough to share and perfectly mixed. Well priced for portions.
The food here is really good and fresh. Every bite was delicious. My 1st time going here but I will be back.
