The best place to xc ski! Free trails and affordable rentals from Portland Gear Hub if you need xc skis or snow shoes. Take the beautiful wooded trails about a mile out to The Hut and have a beer around the fire. There’s a bathroom out there and it’s kid and dog friendly. When you get back to the parking area, pop into the restaurant for a beer and a delicious wood fired pizza. The food is amazing, staff are friendly, atmosphere is perfect. What else could you want? Interesting concept you get up and order at the bar, set your own dishes, napkins, and silverware at your table. You serve yourself, and the when you’re done you clean up the table and sort your dishes, glassware, and linen the best part? they spin the screen and ask for a tip! Wait a minute I should get the tip… To be fair, I did enjoy the pizza. But I won’t be back I work all week and would like to relax and have someone else take care of preparing and serving me a meal. This type of arrangement is great for folks who like it but let your customers know your self service approach is what you’re offering .
This spot is off the charts good. Quaint atmosphere, perfect wood-fired pizzas, complex beers, and just a few minutes from our campground. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon this place. If you’re debating what to do today, just go. It won’t disappoint. Also, they love dogs here so bring them with you on a nice day. Beautiful location, great service, and fantastic pizza! Don’t sleep on the fried artichokes. And, of course, the on-tap beer selection is robust. A must-try, especially if you dig cross-country skiing. They don’t have much of a pizza selection, and they are small and skimpy with the toppings for the price! Our pizza was undercooked, and the kitchen staff was handling the food with their bare hands. The pizza at this place is fantastic! The thin, floppy crust that you can fold in half is incredible. The outdoor seating is wonderful, with plenty of picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, fire pits, and all the beers I sampled were excellent!
Amazing cool place with awesome beer. It has really been built out recently with new kitchen, wood fired pizza oven, stage, and lots of covered and incoherent sitting areas. Friendly staff, super cool farm to wander
