I was surprised by the fact that you can take an old police station and turn it into an Irish Pub and what else would you call it but Paddy Wagon. This is very new, clean tidy, friendly which the last tenants were not, the police (not the band). We went for a quiet beer and found out they serve what they call Irish food and here is were the fun begins, there's lambs fry and bacon, Guinness corn beef and cabbage (I'll come back to this) as well as a range of other great meals like chicken parmy. Now about that Guinness corn beef and cabbage, I was disappointed that there was NO cabbage but the mash potato was great (the Irish have a way with spuds) the other veggies were very andante but I like...

Second group in to the building. 45 minutes to get meal and wasnt crowded go figure!Mums Lamp Shank so salty couldnt eat and my crumbed scallops were literally black and dehydrated and over cooked. The chips were cold and soggy, was so very disappointed and will never go here again. Mum's friends went there on another occasion after this and told us they walked out without paying as it was so disgusting. Eat at your own risk. Such a shame as nice pub, but chef needs sacking. Hobart is a small town and word gets around quickly, if they continue serving meals like this, I dont like their chances of staying in business.

Very noisy, but then it was St Patrick's Day, so everyone was out for a good time I guess. We had the $20 rump steak each, with a free pint of Guinness thrown in.The meal was actually tasty, but the steak was wafer thin, perhaps half the thickness of a normal rump steak, would give you an idea of its size.I realise it was a busy night for catering and staff numbers, but far better to do without the free pint if the meal was to in any way match other pub meals in the area.

This could be the best pub in the Northern Suburbs but lack of attention has let it down!No expense has been spared on creating the place but the meals are poorly cooked and presented and tepid when served. Lack of Staff during peak times exacerbates the serving problems. The need for Security Staff is a "putoff " to many who looked forward to having a great pub in the area. Will need to change the atmosphere and food quality to attract the mid range patrons. Called in for the first time on the Thursday night before Good Friday. Meet some friends, had a couple of drinks and settled in for a meal. Some time passed after a couple more drinks and found there was a mix up with our order. If we were in a hurry, this could have been a problem, but we weren't. It looked to be an isolated case and the guys really looked after us once they realised. The meals were great and really hit the spot! I would go back again.

Called in mid week for a quick bite with a mate.Ordered a couple of burgers, and sat at the open windows. Nice outlook on a sunny day. The burgers seemed to take a while, particularly given not many punters about. When served they were okay, however a little heavy on the mayo, to say the least.Very nice refurbishment and a great spot for an ale or two. I must head back for an evening meal with the family.

We chose to attend to listen to great band, The Doctors Rocksters. Staff accommodated my late change to numbers without complaint. Meals were basic, some people in the group mentioned the food was not hot enough, but most were reasonably happy. Staff were a little hard to pin down but as they were fully booked, they were under the pump.

Not what we had in mind for Valentine's dinner, but it was excellent! We went looking for Indian, but saw that the food was pre-cooked and in a bain-marie. Not a fan of chinese cuisine, so the Irish pub was the go. Good service, Stuffed Chicken was Gluten Free, and the Lamb Shanks were excellent - total only $40! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We had a group dinner for 30 people at Irish Pub. Service was just OK and they didn't go to any great effort to accomodate us. When we ordered the food came quickly and was OK quality for the price. Drinks were priced well. All in all everyone had a good night and we fed everyone for around $800.
