I walked myself to the patio where my reservation was. Other peoplein my party were told to “just take a seat anywhere” without being led to the reserved table or even asked aboutreservations made. Upon arriving at Par 440 Lounge, there was no staff to welcome us at the entrance. I headed to the terrace where our reservation was supposed to be, but members of my party were simply told to find seats without any guidance to our reserved table or any questions about our booking. When I approached the terrace, staff members either looked away or avoided eye contact, seemingly wanting to be left alone.
We were not given a menu at the start. After ordering drinks and appetizers, we placed our food order. While the dishes arrived quickly and looked good, the pitcher of Sangria was disappointing—it tasted watered down and contained overly ripe, discolored fruit.

This was my second visit to Par 440 Lounge, and I will definitely be back. Eric was absolutely incredible—such a true gift! He’s the main reason for my high rating. The food was decent, though I enjoyed it more on my previous visit. I do have a couple of questions. When the guests from the adjacent table left, their plate remained there throughout our entire visit—we arrived at 8:30 p.m. and stayed until closing. This was my first time visiting Par 440! I had seen many parties and brunch being held so I wanted to try it. Needless to say, I'll probably stick to brunch or private parties. For dinner I ordered the stuff shrimp with mash potatoes and asparagus. Iloved the asparagus, however the stuffed shrimp was overcooked to the point the shrimp was rubbery, and the crab filling wasfilled with so much filler you barely tasted the crab. I visited Par 440 Lounge to celebrate a birthday. The place is attractive, with a large bar area filled with plenty of TVs and a distinct dining space. Since it’s part of the East Orange Country Club, it feels like the perfect spot to unwind after a round of golf, almost like the 19th hole. While the atmosphere was enjoyable, I found the food somewhat lacking. We ordered three appetizers, but ended up leaving two unfinished.
The food was delicious. I enjoyed a few apps while my husband had the lamb chop dinner. He said the lamb was cooked perfectly. The caveat was the band. There were excellent! We enjoyed the vocal entertainment of Eric Harris, E.R.I.C. I highly recommend aFriday at Par 440. It is the perfect date night or celebration venue.
If you want to go to a place where you will have a good time, this is it and deliciousfood. My girlfriends and I had a blast. We went on a Friday evening where they had live music with James White and Eric, who hosted. We had a ball. I recommend everyone to frequent this place. I know I will. ??
