This place is a super cute, old school diner with decent lunch and delicious milkshakes. However, todays visit ruined my experience with this place. This service took place at the bar. The lady who initially greeted us gave us a minute to look at the menu. When she returned and asked if we were still deciding on food, we told her yes and she walked away without taking our drink order. Once we had the food order placed and the food brought to us, she had asked if everything looked okay and we said yes. A few minutes later she asked if it tasted good and we said it did. This was the last time we spoke to our server. She never asked if we would like another drink, dessert, to-go boxes or anythi...

If your a POC don’t go here. I sat literally in front of the staff and not one person said a word to me. While everyone else got help right away. Honestly shaking because I’m so upset. I drove all this way because someone said I must stop here, but was super disappointed. Stay away from Montana if you’re NOT white
I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed by the welcoming and friendly staff. The authentic atmosphere made me feel like I had stepped back in time as soon as I walked through the doors. I would rate this restaurant 2 stars. The decor is charming and the candy is delicious, but unfortunately, my experience was ruined by one employee who provided the rudest service I have ever encountered. It was disappointing because I always make it a point to visit the Parrot when I am in Helena.
Won't be going back there ever. Not sure why a local candy shop feels the need to put transgender bonogna on their website. Ugh. Can't seem to get away from this woke ridiculous nonsense. 0 stars
I have known this place for as long as I can remember. They have the most friendly staff and offer delicious treats and sweets at a very affordable price.
