Our server Raul boosted the rating I would’ve otherwise given. He noticed immediately my order was not to standard, which I otherwise wasn't quite sure of since it was my first time here. I suspected something was wrong but I didn’t have to make a thing of it, nor did I need to just keep quiet and eat it while thinking less of the overall experience/quality, because Raul was on top of it. Needless to say it was corrected and much better for it. Wine choice was good. Food was good. Not my favorite Italian food you can find in the greater Chicagoland area for the price point but I’d still recommend for a cozy date spot or small group outing. The food is great! Loved seeing fresh walleye on the menu and the whipped ricotta is a must try. Wait staff was functional but didn't offer up specials unasked or have sophisticated ideas around the menu, but, y'know, it's the suburbs so it's mostly staffed by high schoolers. It's right next to the metra so you will deal with the noise dining al fresco. They play some generic Top 40 music really loud indoors so I'd rather deal with the train noise. Went to Passero last night as an early Valentine 's Day celebration. Had the option of choosing off the menu or a special meal for two . Regardless of whether we come in for a pepperoni pizza at the bar or a celebratory night out, we always have a fabulous time and it is the most spectacular food service in town--absolutely never disappoints! Not going to lie, we always look forward to seeing what new version of an Old Fashioned is on the menu. Can 't wait to come back soon. Miguel and his team are the best.
However, I was most displeased with our server. Every time he came to our table, he was carrying a pile of dirty dishes, which was unappetizing. I would have preferred if he focused on serving us rather than clearing tables. It also raised concerns about hygiene practices, especially during a pandemic.
Overall, this experience was disappointing and potentially dangerous. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving the restaurant's service.

The restaurant has great food and a nice atmosphere. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is delicious, as well as the Piece of Fish dish. I have tried the salads and suggest getting the dressing on the side. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.
Fun place for cocktails. Bar atmosphere was lively and waitstaff was kind. We were very tempted to stay for food with our prime view of the kitchen and seeing all the prepared orders come out. Will be back again!
