After an injury left my body quite defeated and loss of appetite, I recovered. One of my first cravings was for a pastrami sandwich. Not wanting to go to NYC to the traditional tourist traps, i decided to research, best pastrami sandwich in NJ. To my surprise I found a couple of places that were highly rated. One seemed ridiculously over priced. Pastrami and Pickles was an hour away from my home but, I trusted the recent reviews and the pictures I saw. So, I took a ride, still recovering but hungry for my first meal outside hospital food.I'm so happy to have made the trip. So many food options, so many great specials listed, I stuck to my plan and cravings and ordered their Pastrami and corn...
I am so glad we found this place because they have the best pastrami I've ever eaten. We wanted to stop at Katz's Delicatessen in New York City but gave up because of the traffic. Given the choice I would come here again before Katz's. I ordered the Pastrami Reuben and it was loaded with meat. The sandwich was juicy and exploding with flavor. I've got a big appetite and I could only eat half (more for later! . My wife ordered the grilled chicken Caesar wrap, and that was delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and support this local business.
I was looking for a good pastrami place and gave them a shot. I tried the Roselle Park Heaven Sandwich (triple decker) and I was totally pleased. It was actually laughable how BIG this sandwich is! Well worth the money. I found my go-to sandwich shop! I even went back 2 days later and tried the Crazy Boy Burger which was also insane. Plus the staff is very nice and it appears they're a family. Give it a shot.
For the service and ambiance the costs here are truly insane. Regardless, I got a turkey sandwich. It was good. Big focus on meat, but not a lot of sides and toppings. Owner/Manager was yelling and berating a staff person while I was there, which I thought was unkind/unprofessional.

Unbelievably good. All the deli meats Pastrami, Corned Beef, Brisket, Turkey are just great. So glad I was in the area and tried it.... I will be back
The Sandwiches are delicious and extremely filling, one half now and one for later and it especially pairs well with the coleslaw yumms...
The sandwiches are thick and delicious. I split the pastrami sandwich with my mom. The pastrami is juicy and the bread is fresh.
Pickles are so good lol Oh and yeah my husband love the pastrami sandwich will definitely return

Auugh! They closed and moved to Queens NY!!!!! Now what am I supposed to do??? Bummer!!!
Good Pastrami sandwich. There's plenty of meat. Ill be going back.
