I have visited Paulista more than 5 times on different occasions, and the food is consistently outstanding - always freshly cooked, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. The restaurant has a trendy, casual atmosphere, making it ideal for happy hours, casual meals, and gatherings with friends and family. The owners, Jesse and Alex Yamamoto, are gracious hosts who are always on hand to assist and engage with customers. I was searching for a taproom in Oakland and came across Paulista. Despite being unaware that they had just opened, I asked my roommate who is a craft beer enthusiast for their opinion. They mentioned that Paulista has a fantastic selection of tap beers and excellent food. Although the service was a bit slow initially, it improved as we got accustomed to the restaurant being new. The service ended up being great, with a friendly beertender who was quite good looking, and the owner who took the time to explain how their beer flights worked. I would highly recommend Paulista to all my friends.
Raining Sunday, looking for something out of the ordinary and ended up here! The staff was nice enough to wipe down the seats on the patio since we brought our pups but Mother Nature had other plans and ended up getting it togo. Everything was so scrumptious and flavorful! It was as if getting a big warm hug : Really enjoyed their Bobō mixed with the rice and pão de Queijo (cheese puff . Can't wait to be back to try the other goodies!
They are brand new and still working out some of the kinks, so have a little patience. But so far, the foundation is solid. Great local beer selection. Excellent Brazilian food. Everything was delicious and the service was great! Guarana Antarctica was stuck in customs, so I didn’t get to have my favorite Brazilian soda, but I just see that as another good reason to come back. So happy we found this place!!!

You just have to experience this restaurant. If you're tired of the usual Chinese, Mexican, and Italian meals, this place is a refreshing change. Make sure to visit the restaurant and treat your taste buds to something different. It will soon become your go-to spot. Very cool spot! Brazilian food is something I would love to see more of, since it's so delicious! This place is doing is right... So many taps for the beer folks, plus komubcha and cider on tap. I had the Frango (chicken) salad and the yuca fries. Great dressings and sauces. I can't wait to come back and try more of their offerings!
Just walked up to enjoy latte and coffee, with really tasty empanadas (we had one chicken and one hearts of palm), and acai bowl. Super delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Congratulations and looking forward to spending good weekend mornings time in your lovely space, and coming back for dinner!
