I cannot fault this place, it never fails to impress me. I usually stick to my usual food choices, but I have always wanted to try eggs Benedict. Knowing that Rosie cooks everything fresh, I decided to give it a try here. As soon as we placed our order, I could hear the sauce being whisked in the kitchen, assuring me that no pre-made packets were used. When our food arrived, it not only looked delicious but tasted amazing as well. The quality of every ingredient was top-notch - the ham was flavorful, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the muffin was just the right thickness. And the hollandaise sauce? Having lived in Scotland for 15 years, I have had my fair share of full breakfasts, but the one I enjoyed at Pavilion Cafe today was truly exceptional. Every item was cooked to perfection, using locally sourced ingredients that were crisp, hot, and bursting with flavor. I was thoroughly impressed and believe they have an exceptional chef. The friendly and professional staff, with a good sense of humor, added to the overall experience. I would gladly return to Montrose just to dine at this wonderful cafe again. Highly recommended!
Thanks to a Google search for places to eat enroute to Stonehaven we came across the charming place for lunch in Montrose. Its a former bowling green pavillion which still has some of its original features. The food is exceptional to the point that I had to know how to make their quesadilla at home and the owner was glad to share ! Its a small cosy place so booking would be essential on the weekends but I can't recommend it high enough and hopefully will make it back again soon.
My experience at Pavilion Cafe yesterday was wonderful. The service, as always, was fantastic and Rosie and her team have nailed it. I ordered the mushroom omelette and it was hands down the best I've ever had! Packed with spinach, tomatoes, and bursting with flavor, it was absolutely delicious. The coffee here is also top-notch, which can be hard to come by. Pavilion Cafe is definitely the best choice in Montrose for lunch. Highly recommend!

Excellent! Went today with my mum and niece, and wow this was the best breakfast i can say Ive ever had. The quality was excellent, portion massive and service was outstanding, the Ladies were lovely. Would love to go back again when im back up visiting. Cant renommend this wee place enough !
Real gem glad we found it. It is in a nice, quiet spot. The food was notably good with my husband raving about it. We sat outside but had great, friendly service. It gives the impression of having nailed their menu and we will be back.
Brilliant lunch stop on our way down coastal route. Delicious homemade soup, hummus, olives, crusty bread and pittas. Great service, passionate owner and the cutest venue.
Absolutely delicious breakfast. Had eggs florentine on GF bread, my partner had eggs florentine too. Have previously had gluten free pancakes, which were also delicious.

This is a cute little cafe in Montrose with excellent staff and serving very good lunches and cakes. Not at all expensive and well worth visiting.
By far the best food in Montrose! Fresh, local and presented beautifully! This is our first choice for breakfast or lunch.
